Pay Not One Thin Dime To Self-Publish

Tired of trying to publish and no one is interested? Writing inquiries, hiring Agents and sending manuscripts to endless publishers to receive a constant flow of rejection letters is disheartening, to say the least.
Considering Agents receive up to five-thousand query letters a year and only ask for a manuscript in a small percentage of those received, what are your chances of having your manuscript accepted by an agent who may or may not represent you to a publisher?
In traditional publishing, ninety percent of writers fail to publish. Most novels are not considered because they are poorly written, or the structure is not appealing. Rejection is the norm. There are about one hundred fifty-thousand books published every year in the United States. The chance of your manuscript being published is astronomical when you consider fifty present of those published will fail in marketing. I am not implying you should not make every effort to get published; you should make every effort until you realize, your book is not going to be published by an established traditional publisher.
So, what is a writer to do? I believe, other than selling enough books to establish your brand and possibly make a living, most of us write to leave a legacy for current and future generations to know us through our writing. If traditional publishing is impossible, the other option, you might consider is self-publishing.
Today, with the ease of self-publishing, and just about any book written being published in this way, it has become an increasingly attractive option. Since it is an easy process, there are many predatory publishers, referred to as Vanity Publishers, charging between five-hundred to over five-thousand to help you self-publish. Often, the books are poor quality and not marketable; even by you, the author. They offer some free books and then charge you high prices for each book you purchase.
Many of them offer little marketing and few who use them sell large numbers of books. Penny C. Sansevieri Author and CEO, Marketing Experts, Inc. wrote an outstanding article about being scammed by companies that charge to self-publish. The bottom line... do not pay to self-publish.
Fortunately, today there are many self-publishing companies that do not charge for their services, With a little on-line research, you can publish your books at no cost. Many companies produce a high-quality product and the cost of buying your book is affordable.
Through self-publishing, the only one you have to satisfy is you. It is your book; it is your legacy. When traditional publishing fails, it may be the only avenue available to making your dream of being a published author come true.
"No matter what you write, someone will love it."
